Expert meeting on safety of military road traffic participants

An expert meeting on the safety of military road traffic participants was held today in the "Topčider" barracks in Belgrade, organized by the Logistics Department, Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
Thirty professional papers on the management of the safety system for military road traffic participants, road traffic safety factors, staff education and training and transportation of dangerous goods were presented at this year's meeting. In addition to the papers by the MOD and SAF members, the papers by representatives of the National Road Traffic Safety Agency and the Ministry of the Interior’s Road Traffic Police Directorate were also presented.

Expert meetings on the safety of military road traffic participants are held every five years, and significant professional support is provided by the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, Belgrade University, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad University and the Military Academy.
In addition to reviewing the safety of military road traffic participants over a five-year period, these meetings are an opportunity to consider the challenges faced by drivers of military motor vehicles and draw up guidelines for further preventive action based on scientific principles and from a professional point of view.
