Minister Stefanović presents decrees on promotions and appointments



Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD presented the decrees on promotions and appointments to new positions, passed by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to officers of the Serbian Armed Forces. Congratulating them on their new ranks and new appointments, Minister Stefanović said that these are real soldiers who serve our homeland faithfully and who have deservedly earned these promotions with their results.

Major General Želimir Glišović was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general. Colonel Radivoje Anđelković was promoted to the rank of brigadier general and was appointed Head of the Military Health Department. Colonel Mile Vitezović was appointed Head of the Telecommunications and IT Department, Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, and Colonel Srđan Blagojević was appointed as the Commandant - Dean of the Military Academy.
  Lieutenant General Želimir Glišović was born in 1965 in Novi Pazar. His professional military career started in 1988. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2015. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1988 and completed the General Staff School in 1998 and the General Staff Advanced Training in 2005. He is serving as Head of Operations Department (J-3), General Staff, and previously he served as the Deputy Army Commander and the Commander of the Third Army Brigade.

Brigadier General Radivoje Anđelković was born in 1970 in Sisak. His professional military career started in 1996, and he was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2015. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, gained a master's degree in veterinary medicine in 2002, a doctoral degree in veterinary science in 2007, and completed Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2017. He served as Head of the Veterinary Section in the Military Health Department, Head of Unit in the Military Health Department and Head of Unit in the Guards Brigade.
  Colonel Mile Vitezović was born in 1971 in Užice. His professional military career started in 1994. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2014. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1994, completed Command Staff Course in 2008 and General Staff Course in 2013. Up until now, he served as Head of Section for Telecommunications and IT Security in the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6), General Staff, and previously he had been Head of Section for Telecommunications System and Integration in the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6) and Commander of the Signal Brigade’s Second Stationary Signal Centre.
Colonel Srđan Blagojević was born in 1980 in Leskovac. His professional military career started in 2003. He was promoted to the rank of colonel in 2021. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2003, gained a specialist degree in counterterrorism and organized crime in 2005, a master's degree in social sciences in 2008, and a doctoral degree in social sciences in 2011. Up until now, he served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs in the Office of the Dean, Military Academy, Defence University, Ministry of Defence.
