Minister congratulates the election of the new Patriarch



Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac congratulated the Nis Archbishop Irinej on becoming 45th Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

"Your Holiness, on occasion of Your election as the new Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, on behalf of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense, I extend my sincerest congratulations.

I am certain that with Your wisdom and acts You will do all in your power to continue the to-date very successful cooperation of the Ministry and the Serbian military with our Church.

I wish that You may contribute with Your service to strengthening of spiritual and moral repute of the Orthodox faith and of our country, too, to the benefit of all its citizens!, as the congratulatory note reads.
