Congratulatory Message of the Minister of Defence on the Occasion of the Day of 63rd Parachute Brigade and its Slava
On the occasion of the Day of 63rd Parachute Brigade and its Slava, 14th October, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD sent a congratulatory message that reads:
“Members of the heroic 63rd Parachute Brigade, I wish to extend congratulations on the Day of your unit and may you have a merry Slava - the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God.
With your daily professional execution of all tasks that your fatherland charges you with, and your heroic deeds and feats, you show that you are rightfully called the elite unit. Even since the establishment of the First Parachute Battalion back in 1944, whose traditions you cherish, you have been known for courage, honour and sincere love for your fatherland. Serbia is immensely proud of you.
There is a great symbolism in the fact that you chose today’s holiday as your Slava. I hope that you will celebrate it in peace and unity, and may this day bring your happiness and wellbeing.”
