Minister Stefanović Talked to Deputy Director of Russian Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation



Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD met Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Andrey Boytsov, in the eve of tomorrow’s official opening of the Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment “Partner 2021”.

Minister Stefanović assessed that the defence cooperation between our two brotherly countries continually followed an upward trend and he expressed his great satisfaction with the level of achieved military technical cooperation. He expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for the assistance rendered in strengthening capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces on the basis of the agreement reached by presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Vladimir Putin in 2016.

Also, the minister of defence took this opportunity to express the gratitude of Serbia to Russia for the steadfast and consistent support to the preservation of our territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Andrey Boytsov thanked for the invitation to attend 10th annual Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment “Partner 2021”.

He assessed that the relations in the field of defence between our countries were at an exceptional level and that high level visits certainly contributed to the   strengthening of those ties. In that context, he looked back on the participation of Minister Stefanović in Moscow conference on international security and his meeting with Minister Sergey Shoygu, and the fact that this year Serbia had been for the first time one of 11 co-organisers of the International Military Games.

The interlocutors agreed in their orientation to reconsider further opportunities for the advancement of the cooperation, in military technical and military economic fields in particular.
