Joint live-fire drill with Bulgarian Armed Forces

Members of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence and members of the Bulgarian Armed Forces are conducting a joint live fire drill with aerial targets at the "Shabla" Air Defence Firing Range in Bulgaria.
The final stage of the exercise was attended today by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, and Bulgaria's Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov, at whose invitation the Serbian Armed Forces delegation arrived in Bulgaria on a two-day visit.

Members of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade and the 204th Air Brigade, who participated in the exercise, hit and destroyed all aerial targets using the "Neva" and "Kub" missile systems, as well as “MiG-29” aircraft.
General Mojsilović expressed his satisfaction with the successfully conducted live-fire drill and pointed out that members of the Air Force and Air Defence, whose results at the "Shabla" firing range are getting better and better every year, have shown that they are thoroughly trained and qualified to carry out mission-specific tasks, which is a confirmation of the quality of training that our units receive and appropriately set priorities for investing in this branch of the Serbian Armed Forces in previous years.

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff expressed his gratitude to Admiral Eftimov, the Bulgarian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria for the warm hospitality and the opportunity for Serbian units to use the "Shabla" Air Defence Firing Range for conducting live fire drills, which is of great importance for the capabilities of our Air Force and Air Defence.
During his visit to Bulgaria, General Mojsilović discussed with Admiral Eftimov the current military to military cooperation and the possibilities for its improvement in areas of mutual interest. They agreed that this cooperation is substantial and characterized by constant improvement, especially in the field of training and exercises, and that it contributes to the development of trust and the improvement of good neighbourly relations.
