President Tadic congratulates the Air Force day



I extend my warmest congratulations to all the members of the Air Force on occasion of the Day of the branch, 24 December.

In the previous period you managed to carry out your tasks in full in protecting and controlling the sovereignty of the aerial space of Serbia thus contributing to building and preserving peace in the region, and in Europe, too.

I am confident that you will continue to develop the operational capacity of your branch, that you will successfully complete reforms and will work of reorganizing the army.

SAF tasks gave the needed importance to the training of pilots and perform remarkable well achieving noteworthy results in professional training of their members.

Such performance as seen in the “Resolute Response 2009” exercise and at the international air show in Batajnica won you an equal position among most modern air forces. You modernized the units which is a precondition for operational and functional capacity of this branch of the army.

I am certain that in the forthcoming period you will also be able to carry put your assigned tasks. Wishing you to become an active member in reorganization of the army, and of the new security trends in the region, I congratulate you this day.
