Minister Sutanovac and Admiral Fitzgerald meet
Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac met today with the Naples Joint Forces Command Admiral Mark Fitzgerald in the House of Guards. The topic of discussion was the current security situation in Kosovo, the cooperation between KFOR and SAF and the issue of reducing the number of KFOR personnel.Admiral Fitzegrald gave reassurances to Minister Sutanovac that regardless of the number of KFOOR soldiers, KFOR would preserve the stability of the non-Albanian population as well as the Serbian saintly places, cultural and historical riches in Kosovo.
The occasion for the visit was the transfer of duty of the Head of NATO MLO between the outgoing Brig. Gen. Miroslav Balint and Brig. Gen. Jan Kase of the Czech Republic.
The ceremony was also attended by SAF CHOD LTG Miloje Miletic, the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Serbia Hanna Habuchkova and other senior officers of SAF and NALES JFC.After the ceremony in the house of Guards, Admiral Fitzgerald met with the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and the delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
