Minister Stefanović and Defence Secretary Wallace pay tribute to defenders of Belgrade

This morning, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, and the UK Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace laid wreaths at the Commonwealth War Cemetery and the Monument and Memorial Ossuary to the Defenders of Belgrade 1914-1918.
By paying tribute to Serbian and British soldiers who lost their lives fighting together in world wars, the two officials symbolically recalled the alliance and strong historical ties between Serbia and the United Kingdom.

Later today, Stefanović and Wallace will also attend the Platinum Wolf 2021 Exercise Distinguished Visitors’ Day at the "South" base near Bujanovac. Members of armed forces of 10 partner countries, including Great Britain, will participate in the exercise.
