Minister Stefanović talks to 34th Belgrade Marathon winner



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with Captain I Class Nevena Jovanović, a member of the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment "Cobras" who won the 34th Belgrade Marathon on Sunday.

Minister Stefanović told Nevena he was pleased to meet her and pointed out that the entire defence system was extremely proud of her achievement.
  Bearing in mind all her previous achievements, he added, her success at the 34th Belgrade Marathon was not unexpected, but it is all the more significant since her role in the special unit "Cobras" requires intensive work.

On this occasion, he presented Jovanović with a bouquet of flowers and some new sports equipment.

This member of "Cobras", who ran a 42-kilometre course in 3 hours, 12 minutes and 27 seconds on Sunday and won the marathon, is the only woman officer among the Serbian Special Forces.
