President Vučić meets with Ambassador of Republic of France

The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the Ambassador of the Republic of France, Jean-Louis Falconi, with whom he discussed bilateral relations, our country's progress on the European path, as well as the situation in the region and the future of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

President Vučić pointed out that the cooperation with France was important for Serbia, both on the political and economic levels, and that he was pleased with the attention that President Macron devoted to the relations between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, and Assistant Minister of Defence for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović. The meeting discussed further promotion of cooperation, especially in the fields of infrastructure and defence, i.e. military-technical cooperation.

It was stated that joint projects, such as the Belgrade underground, Nikola Tesla Airport, managed by the French company Vinci, and the Vinča landfill, which involved the engagement of the French company Suez, were proceeding according to plan, but any chance of accelerating the pace of the activities was welcome.

President Vučić expressed hope that good economic results and investment climate in Serbia would attract more investors from France.
When it comes to the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, President Vučić said that we were willing to reach a compromise solution and that he would accept Brussels’ invitation, but that a lot of strength and energy was needed to reach a compromise and that our delegation would look after Serbia’s state and national interests.
