Military hospital Niš re-enters Covid system

Military hospital Niš has re-entered the Covid system today. With 86 beds, 46 of which have access to oxygen, the hospital is ready to admit the first Covid patients.

“I would like to thank our military doctors and medical staff who were able to prepare everything for the admission of Covid patients in the shortest possible time. I am convinced they will do their best, as always, to provide patients with excellent medical care so that they can get well as soon as possible and go back home”, said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD.
Since hospitals are near full capacity in the south of Serbia, the Crisis Response Team in Niš has requested from the Ministry of Defence to return the Military Hospital Niš to the Covid system.

Today, 285 new Covid cases have been registered in Niš, and members of the military health will come to their civilian colleagues’ aid due to a difficult epidemiological situation in this city.
Military Hospital Niš was part of the Covid system from December to February, providing medical care to 150 Covid patients.
