COMMUNIQUE



Major Goran (Milos) Milakovic of Nis military post box 4983 was admitted to the MMA infectious diseases hospital on 14 November 2009.
Upon admission, he was diagnosed with a respiratory insufficiency with a grave bilateral pneumonia. His condition required immediate intensive care and reanimation which is why he was placed on a respirator.

The presence of A H1 N1 virus was confirmed in this case, and since the very start a conference of doctors was involved on daily basis in the treatment of Major MIlakovic.

Unfortunately, despite all measures taken, Major Milakovic died on the clinic for infectious diseases on 28 November 2008 at 234:35.

MOD is undertaking all necessary measures to prevent further spreading of the epidemic. In line with this decision, the Minister ordered that the acceptance of the December class of recruits be postponed for the period 25-27 January 2010. This decision pertains only to those conscripts who have opted to do their service regularly and not in the civil sector.
