Minister Stefanović meets with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met today with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Stefanović conveyed the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s greetings to the Crown Prince and invited him to visit Serbia.
Minister of Defence expressed appreciation for the successful cooperation so far, especially on the projects related to military industry and the Ministry of Defence and expressed hope that the two ministries of defence would further strenghten cooperation in the coming period.Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized that the UAE would continue close cooperation with Serbia and that the agreements concluded so far would be further built upon. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said that he supported President Vučić’s efforts to maintain stability and overall peace in the region, as well as to improve the citizens’ standard of living.
It was highlighted at the meeting that both countries were committed to vaccinating their citizens and fighting Covid-19. The collocutors expressed hope that such protection of the population from the disease would lead to economic growth that should ensure stability and long-term development of both countries.
After the meeting, Minister Stefanović and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited the Jugoimport-SDPR’s stand where Serbian defence industry products are showcased.
