Minister Stefanović: We are capable of being the guarantor of stability

According to the globarfirepower.com website, Serbia is ranked as the strongest military power in the region. Serbia ranks 61st among military powers and the most powerful among former Yugoslav states.

Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović referred to our military’s exceptional results.

- This shows that since 2012, when President Vučić became the Minister of Defence, by implementing his policy, has established a completely different system of investment in the military, set out our strategy and guarantees that our country will have a serious and powerful military with well trained and well equipped soldiers. From that moment on, we continued equipping our military intensively. Without a properly equipped military, you have not done a great job for your country. This can be seen when we compare ourselves to some former Yugoslav states, you can see where they stand and where we stand. As a country, we are capable of being a guarantor of stability and security not only in our country, but also in the region - said Minister Stefanović.
According to this website’s data, the United States of America rank first in the world, Russia ranks second, China third, while Serbia took 61st place in the ranking, and Croatia 63rd place.

Other former Yugoslav states rank lower - Slovenia 88, Bosnia and Herzegovina 121, Montenegro 123, North Macedonia 133.
