German team's training flight

The team of the German Verification Center headed by LTC Gaiweiler Jurgen Reihnhold did photo shoots over Serbia based on a bilateral agreement, and according to the rules of “Open Skies initiative.

Even though Serbia has not yet signed the said agreement implemented by 30 countries of the world, including USA and Russia, the German team was allowed conduct a three-hour flight on a Romanian air force plane over the Serbian territory.

The German team was followed by two members of the German air force as well as eight members of the Romanian air force who made up the crew of AN-30 plane.

LT> Col. Reinhold believes that is crucial that Serbia should become the member of “Open Skies” initiative, as thus it would join dozens of countries which use this initiative to build mutual trust.

This initiative entails the right of the signatory countries to photo shot a certain territory of other country from the air and thus to get an insight into civilian and military infrastructure.
