This is a region, which given the current constellation of military powers, represents a geostrategic unit which would be a war zone of its own in a context of a large-scale conflict.

Soon our air force will take the fourth completely overhauled transport helicopter Mi-8. it was overhauled during this and the previous year in “Moma Stanojlovic” overhaul institute. Another three Mi8s are undergoing overhaul, while these days mark the start of the overhaul of two Mi17s (export version of MI4 with the turbine TB3-117). Vital parts will be transported to Russia for an overhaul there, while overhaul of Mi17 kite will be done in Batajnica. This would summarize the current situation in restoring these air crafts to life.
