Minister Stefanović visits Military Technical Institute
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, said today, while he was visiting the Military Technical Institute (VTI) in Belgrade, that the state would continue investing in this institution’s employees but also focus on rejuvenating the staff.
In addition to the continuation of investment, Minister Stefanović announced that the Institute expected reinforcements in terms of personnel, i.e. recruitment of 80 new researchers by the end of February.
- We are seeing to it that young computer scientists and engineers come to this institute easily and as early as possible, and that the employees are better paid thanks to the increase in salaries approved by the President of Serbia. It is also important that through various financial incentives by the end of this year, but also in the coming period, we show that we care about the experts working here, that we appreciate their knowledge and the fact that thanks to their knowledge they help make Serbia safer - said the Minister of Defence.
The director of the Military Technical Institute, Colonel Bojan Pavković, talked about the rich history of this institution and acquainted Minister Stefanović with the place and role of the VTI in the Ministry of Defence and current projects.
Minister of Defence was accompanied on today’s visit to the Military Technical Institute by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović and Head of Defence Technologies Department, Major General Mladen Vuruna.
