President Tadic congratulates the Day of the Army



“I congratulate 16 November-the Day of the army to all members of this military branch.

As the members of the most numerous branch of SAF, continuing the 95-year long tradition, you confirm the traditional values of our national history and SAF, thus merging it with modern and novel situations, both at the state and military level.

In the previous period you have provided constant and full support to strengthening peace, security and stabilization in the region, which adds to the full involvement of our country into European and Euro Atlantic integrations. I am confident that you will continue to develop the operational capabilities of your branch and that you will continue the reforms you started thus adding to further reorganization of the army. I also hope that you will be an important factor to modern military organization according to all international standards and criteria. The Army units have realized the set tasks and have achieved good results in training and enabling the members of the branch and other subjects of defense and security of the country. You have demonstrated good will and readiness to use all objective opportunities in modernization of army units.

I am confident that you will perform your tasks with success in the future as well. I extend my sincerest congratulations wishing you to be an active factor in the process of reorganization of the army and of new security processes in the region and the country.”
