VTI marks 61st anniversary
In the House of Guards in Topcider, 61st anniversary of the Military Technical Institute was marked today. the celebration was attended by Assistant Secretry for Material Resources Ilija Pilipovic, SAF CHOD LTg Miloje Miletic, the representatives of MoD and SAF GS, the directors of institutions the institute cooperates with as well as other numerous guests.The Chief of the Defense Technologies Department Brig. Gen. Danko Jovanovic said on this occasion that the institute’s priorities in the near future would be to renew the personnel and to cooperate with other research institutions. In his words, this institution is a state resource and a brand well known and recognized beyond the borders of our country.
The Head of VTI Colonel Mladen Pantic recalled the projects which have marked this year stressing that this organization is working today in much better conditions since significant funds have been allocated for R&D. He stated that OTEH and the participation of VTI in “Partner” weapons fair, only testifies to firm conections between science and practice.Colonel Pantic expressed his hope that this Institute would continue to influence the technological development of Serbia, equipping of our armed forces and the development of defense technologies.
The celebration ended with a program prepared by “Stanislav Binicki” orchestra and the soloists Dragana Jugovic and Danka Stojilkovic.
