DAs visit NIS Petrol company
The Contingency Situation Department organized a visit of foreign DAs accredited to Serbia to the Directorate of NIS company. The purpose of this visit is to acquaint the DAs with the preparations of the state to act in contingency situations as well as with the way of the civil protection in NIS Petrol works.
In his address to the foreign military representatives, the Head of the Contingency Situations Department Milan Popadic stressed that the state was committed to unify as many services as possible dealing with the civil protection and that the new regulations envision creating the Contingency Sector with the Ministry of Defense.- We expect this to be a good step towards unifying our resources and the capacities for responding in contingency situations. The new organization of this segment will certainly bring greater safety and a higher level of protection in contingency situations.
Today’s visit is the continuation of the well-established practice of the Department for Contingency Situations to regularly inform DAs with the issues it deals with.
