Minister Vulin: Serbian Armed Forces have suspended about 200 different activities in the field of international military cooperation

- Implementing the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Armed Forces have suspended about 200 different international military activities that were to be held in the next six months. Military exercises are the highest form of military cooperation and eight exercises with representatives of armed forces from different parts of the world were planned in the next six months. Four of the eight planned exercises were to be held with the armed forces of the East, and the other four with the armed forces of the West – emphasized the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin who attended today the final rehearsal of tomorrow’s promotion of the youngest officers of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Implementing the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Minister of Defence emphasized, and consistently implementing our neutrality, the Serbian Armed Forces have suspended about two hundred different military activities.

- We should still make the final decision when it comes to our attitude towards participation in peacekeeping missions, and the Ministry of Defence will implement the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. As the Minister of Defence, I believe that if we abandon, that is, suspend, international military activities, we should do the same when it comes to peacekeeping missions, regardless of whether they are peacekeeping missions under the command of the United Nations or the European Union. It is up to us to make the decision, and the Serbian Armed Forces will implement every decision - concluded Minister Vulin.
