Expert talks on budget and finances
The Department of Finances and Budget of MoD organized on 20 October the expert talks on the following topic: “Expert talks on finances and budget”, where besides the members of the competent departments, the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway MoD’s Department for Finances also took part. The conference was opened by Deputy Head of the Department of Finances Aleksandar Stojanovic, PhD.
Topics pertaining to long-term planning, harmonization of annual plans with mid-term plans, implementation of plan documents and the budget for defense, as well as the criteria and the indicators for the evaluation of expected results were some of the topics considered during the meeting. Furthermore, the participants discussed planning process, evaluation and analysis of costs incurred in peace operations.
This was an opportunity for both sides to present the drafting and realization of the budgetary plan as well as the structure of future business information system for finance in the Serbian MoD. The Norwegian participants introduced the Serbian side with the content of the “Implementation document” as an act which is the basis for the implementation of the Kingdom of Norway Strategic Defense Review.The talks were based on lectures and group work, where the participants from our country and Norway exchanged experiences and discussed the said topics based on concrete examples.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the visit and both sides also expressed their hope for this cooperation to continue soon between the two finances departments of the two ministries of defense.
