Report on recently held exercise, "Resolute Response 2009” held at the Pester Plain. On this occasion, the President of the Republic Boris Tadic commended the military personnel and all SAF members and the Police members for the successful realization of the exercise which has demonstrated excellent potential of the Serbian security forces. This is the new exercise conducted according to new training management concept. This concept has been implemented as a systematic value and has been adjusted to the organizational structure of the army.

Interview with Iija Pilpovic, Assistant Minster for Material Resources, occasioned by the Third International Research Conference OTEH 2009 which was held in the Military Technical Institute. He stressed that improving eh state in the defense industry of Serbia was a logical consequence of measures taken by the state in the last few years announcing that personnel will soon be renewed, as this institution will soon take on 20 young engineers.

We present to you another SAF unit-the First Army Brigade whose members stress that the citizens of Vojvodina where they are stationed need them to be always at hand. This was especially seen in providing flood relief where they have extensive experience even though it is not a desired one.

Interview in the cultural section with the painted Milan Cile Marinkovic whose exhibition opened in the newly renovated SAF Dome is one of the most prestigious cultural events in Belgrade. AN interesting story about Stojimir Ilijevic Gerila, a retired major, warrior and tank constructor, who took part in liberation battles. Advancing to the center of Belgrade in 1944 his company broke up German elite Stetner units this bringing liberty to the streets of Belgrade. Even though he was born in Macedonia, his emphasizes that his mother was of Serbian nationality. The faith had it in store for him to become a warrior of the Red Army and then the officer of our army, a top constructor of the VTI and of the Material Testing Institute.
