OTEH 2009 conference closed



In the Military Technical Institute, a Third Research Conference on Defense Technologies OTEH 2009 ended today. The conference was closed by the Chairman of the Organizational Board Ilija Pilipovic, Assistant Minister for Material Resources, wishing for this most significant research conference to become more a more international conference.

Pilipovic awarded plaques with the emblem of VTI to MSc Milutin Nikacevic and to MSc Ljubica Radovic for their work in the previous OTEH which from the point of view of the results applicability was assessed as the most significant and to Zoran Mihajlovic, a student of master studies of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering as the youngest author of this year’s research conference.

202 papers of authors and co-authors of the members of MoD and SAF and the institutions outside the system of defense, where the presenters were authoirs from five countries-Turkey, Libya, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

A round table was also held as part of the OTEH conference on the Defense Technologies of Serbia-the current state and trends. The introductory presentation was given by the Director of the Military Technical Institute, Colonel Mladen Pantic, PhD.

He spoke of projects which have been realized in this institution since the previous OTEH, stressing that the most significant results were made in the field of military robotics, which is to be one of the top priorities in the upcoming period. Furthermore, the projects in the field of combat systems will also be realized as well as in the field of optic electrics and nanotechnologies.

This was followed by a discussion of the Planning Department Major General Bozidar Forca, the Director of the Kragujevac Technical Overhaul Institute Colonel Jugoslav Radulovic, the Director of TOC Colonel Goran Stojanovic, the Director of the Institute for Strategic Research Colonel Milan Zaric, the CEO of “Milan Blagojevic” Lucani arms factory Rados milovanovic and the retired colonel Anastas Paligoric.
