The Serbian Armed Forces are finishing the dismantling of the temporary hospital at the Belgrade Fair

Today, the members of the Serbian Armed Forces continued the dismantling of the temporary hospital at the Belgrade Fair, which began after the last patient was discharged from Hall 1. By the decision of the Crisis Response Team, the temporary hospital was used as of 29 March to accommodate patients with mild symptoms of the coronavirus infection.

The head of the logistics support of the facility, Lieutenant Colonel Denis Pelva, pointed out that equipment is being removed from the Fair hall and transported today.
  - The Institute for Biocides and Environmental Medicine performed cleaning and disinfection of the premises and equipment, and we received guarantees that everything is safe to handle. We have started preparing the equipment for transport and we expect to complete those activities today - says Lieutenant Colonel Pelva and explains that the logistics worked "before the hospital started working, during its operation and after the completion of the activities that were logistically supported by the armed forces".

Members of the Training Command and Air Force and the Air Defence are engaged in dismantling the beds, taking out the bedside lockers, blankets and bedding, as well as organizing the transport.

About 1,300 Covid-positive patients were treated at the temporary hospital by 620 health professionals.

The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces provided logistics support and external security to the temporary hospital at the Fair, as well as 3,000 beds, while the Ministry of Health was responsible for providing medical care.
