RESOLUTE RESPONSE 2009
The President of Serbia said that after the adoption of strategic documents further reforms would be continued.
This would include the modernization of weapons and the technical equipment as well as providing the best living and working standards for the members of the police and SAF.
Tadic once again reiterated that Serbia’s Parliament had adopted the document on military neutrality and that we should always bear this in mind. The state will lead an active security policy, while taking into account all security processes in the region and in line with these processes will reach a decision regarding the ways of addressing current and future security risks and threats.
He expressed great pleasure with the results achieved in the “Resolute Response” exercise while congratulating all its participants.

CHOD LTG Miloje Miletic stressed that this was the result of the professionalization process the defense system is undergoing at the moment and another confirmation that this process was on the right track.
Brigadier General Milan Mojsilovic said that the “Resolute Response 2009” was the largest exercise conducted by SAF in 2009.
- The exercise is planned to be conducted in line with systematically implemented concept of training management which has taken force starting this year and represents the implementation of the evaluation process in building unit capabilities. The police force is also involved in the planning process and the process of realization of the exercise which has significantly enriched and enlarged the scope of the exercise,” as Mojsilovic said. In his words, the SAF GS’s decision points to the fact that the exercise and building of operational capabilities is a priority and a focal point in the general reform of the defense system
The exercise was conducted by Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command Brigadier General Milan Mojsilovic, while Colonel Dusan Stojanovic, commander of the second army brigade, is commanding the unit in charge of exercise activities.
The exercise had 1000 participants of 2nd Army Brigade, of the Special Brigade, Mixed Artillery Brigade, Signaling Brigade, 5th battalion of the Military Police, 246th NBC protection battalion and 204th Air Force aviation base and the special anti terrorist unit and the Police Force Gendarmerie.
The tactical scenario is the threat posed to the territorial integrity of Serbia by provocations and border incidents with parallel terrorist actions in Serbia’s depth. The President’s factious decision on deploying SAF units marked the start of the exercise. This exercise has demonstrated effective cooperation and joint action of different branches and services of SAF. All tactical activities were presented realistically.
