Minister gives a lecture at MA
Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac gave a lecture today to the freshmen of the Military Academy, that is, to the students of 134th class of the Military Academy and 1st class of the medical studies at MMA. The introductory lecture given by the minister of defense is a tradition marking the beginning of a four-year studies, i.e. five-year studies period, following which the MA cadets will be promoted into SAF officers.Minister congratulated the youngest generation for their choice of school stressing that you opted for an honorable and difficult profession. No other school is under so much public scrutiny as the Military Academy, which has been confirmed once again by the recent promotion ceremony held in front of the National Assembly Dome.
– You chose the Military Academy, and we selected you among all other applicants as you passed very rigorous selection process”, said Sutanovac, adding that the interest for education at the Academy was on a constant rise. He called upon the cadets to compete among each other in skills and knowledge. The minister promised the students all support in al projects and their requests which would add to better quality of their education.
He also took this opportunity to inform students of the current issues in the defense system as well as the results achieved in the previous period, such as the process of professionalization systematization, intensive and fruitful cooperation and the most important exercise activities and alos issues pertaining to cultural and sports life.He demanded from students to commit themselves fully to their classes especially to learning foreign languages, which are a precondition for international activities, as we hope to get more of these in the future.
This was also a chance for the students to present their problems in an open and conversation with the defense minister.
