Gratitude of the Ministry of Defence to numerous donors who made donations to temporary hospitals

Thanks to people of good will and their humanity, for patients with a mild clinical presentation of the coronavirus disease in temporary hospitals at the Belgrade Fair, the Novi Sad Fair, in the “Čair” Hall in Niš, and in the temporary hospital at Karaburma Military Medical Centre, the days of treatment have been made easier with numerous donations in the form of food products, TVs , blood pressure monitors, a disinfection tunnel, internet connection, daily newspapers, books, magazines, water and hot beverage dispensers, tea, mobile phone chargers ...

With constant medical supervision, regular and good quality nutrition, showers and hot water, regular disinfection and maintaining hygiene, patients have decent living conditions in the temporary hospitals, which, as they themselves point out, make the treatment much easier and help them fill the time they have to spend in a temporary hospital due to Covid.

The Ministry of Defence highlights excellent cooperation with donors and is grateful to them for their response and the assistance they provide in the fight against coronavirus.

In addition to other responsibilities that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have in the operation of temporary hospitals, ranging from setting up beds to disinfecting and securing the facilities, the reception of donations of necessary items for everyday life has contributed to a good overall impression of the functioning of temporary hospitals. We have repeatedly pointed out that these are not and cannot be hotel conditions, but it is very important that all the requirements under the Rulebook for the operation of this type of facilities have been met, as confirmed by the Protector of Citizens, after a thorough inspection before the temporary hospitals were put into operation.

On 2nd April, the website of the Ministry of Defence published a list of companies that made donations to temporary hospitals at the Belgrade Fair, the Novi Sad Fair, the Čair Hall in Niš and the temporary hospital at Karaburma Military Medical Centre, and here again, expressing our gratitude, we give a full list of donors:
