The Niš Military Hospital is at the service of all the citizens of Niš

The Niš Military Hospital has always been open to both soldiers and civilians, so even in a state of emergency it has enough supplies, it is capable and sufficiently equipped and has enough staff to be able to provide all the health services needed to all the citizens of Niš, thereby taking over a part of the burden in difficult times - said Minister of Defence Aleksandarr Vulin, who visited this reputable military healthcare facility with his associates today. The hospital is being disinfected by the expert NBC military units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

He added that it is evident now how important it was to invest in the Niš Military Hospital over the past two or three years.

- You can see the latest x-ray machines, scanners and everything else that medical science has to offer and that is why everyone who comes to the Niš Military Hospital will receive the best possible health service, Minister Vulin pointed out, adding that the staff in that institution and the Serbian Armed Forces have gathered their own strength to fight Covid.

- In a very short time, we have installed a medical gas system and provided accommodation for 50 of the most difficult patients who need respirators, and if necessary, we can provide space for 100 patients, said the Minister of Defence noting that in this way it is shown how important it is to invest in the military health care which helps all the citizens of Serbia, whether they are civilians or soldiers.

The Director of the Niš Military Hospital, Colonel Jovica Stanojković, MD, pointed out that the Niš Military Hospital was originally envisaged as Covid Hospital, but its role was later changed.

- Following the decision of the Crisis Response Team, we have taken on a different role, and we will admit patients from the Clinical Centre who are not infected with Covid 19, so we will free up their capacities and enable them to give more significant support to the city regarding the care of the infected - said the Director of the Niš Military Hospital, Colonel Jovica Stanojković, noting that the Military Hospital has always been open to both civilians and soldiers.

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Bojan Jocic, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Major General Petar Cvetković, the Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy, Milan Ranković, the Head of the Military Healthcare Department, Brigadier General Uglješa Jovičić and the Chief of Staff of the Army Command, Brigadier General Željko Tramošljika also visited the Niš Military Hospital.

The stationary part of the Niš Military Hospital includes 215 hospital beds and all capacities will be used for the treatment of the citizens of Niš.
