Minister Vulin: All migrants currently residing in Serbia must respect our country and our laws

- More than 8,000 migrants in the territory of our country are in 18 reception centres. They have everything they need, but they are not allowed to go out. These are quarantines and they have to stay inside. No migrants are infected with Covid-19 and in order to avoid this they have to stay indoors - the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said today in the morning programme on “Happy” TV.

Speaking about an incident that recently took place at a camp in Krnjača, Minister Vulin explained that a Syrian family tried to escape but was stopped.

- About a hundred migrants gathered on that occasion who wanted to support them in this and our military fired three bullets into the air in accordance with the Service
Regulations and Laws. I will award two members of the Serbian Armed Forces who issued and executed an order because they obeyed the laws and the Service Regulations, did not hurt anybody, and protected themselves and their members - said the Minister of Defence, adding that as the Minister of Defence, he gives soldiers two orders - no one can seize your rifle and nobody can hurt you.

- Anyone who thinks that they can endanger a soldier or a member of the Ministry of Defence, must know that they will suffer consequences, - said the Minister of Defence.

He pointed out that all migrants currently residing in Serbia must respect our country and our laws, but, as he stated, they want to leave here. With regard to this, Minister Vulin emphasized that there were false stories that 400,000 migrants will settle in southern Serbia.

- All of them will be in camps and no one should be afraid of them. The military is there, and when your military is there you can be calm and safe - said Minister Vulin.
