Concert to mark 110 years of "Stanislav Binicki"

On occasion of a great jubilee-110 years of “Stanislav Binicki” art ensemble, a concert of this orchestra was held in SAF Central Dome.

This musical ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac, Chief of SAF GS LTG Miloje Mieltic, the representatives of MoD and SAF, as well as numerous renowned and famous persons along with the art enseble’s devoted audience.

The orchestra performed many foreign and home compositions in honor of Stanislav Binicki, an illustrious composer whose name the art ensemble bears and in honor of a 300 year long tradition of military music. Such invaluable compositions as “March to the Drina”, composed by the very Stanislav Binicki, and the marches “Aleksandar I Obrenovic” and “Florentirer” as well as the mishmash of popular compositions of the famous Swedish band ABBA, a song “Zute dunje” and th verses of our poet Aleksa Santic rendered by actor Ivan Bosiljcic.

The resounding and beautiful voices of Maja Odzaklijevska, Ivana Knezevic, Mina Lazarevic, and Mirjana Jovanovic as well as of the band “Legende” marked this concert giving it special beauty.

The conductors were Pavle Medakovic, Vojkan Borisavljevic and the Head of the ensemble Igor Mitrovic.

The concert was even more beautiful as it was set in a beautifully renovated SAF central dome, which will host many such culturally important events.
