Commemoration on occasion of arms blast in "Prvi partizan"
A commemoration was held in Uzice today on occasion of the tragic death of seven workers of arms plant “Prvi partizan” yesterday. The key message was that the Government of Serbia along with all the ministries deeply mourn the loss of seven lives and that they would do their utmost to provide all the necessary support.
In the blast in the production facilities of Prvi partisan factory the following workers perished: Svetlana Djuric, Jasmina Ostojic, Gordana Djokic, Biljanja Lukovic, Vida Terzic, Dragan Milovanovic and Jelena Lonacerevic.
On behalf of the factory and the town of Uzice, mayor Jovan Markovic, CEO of Prvi partisan Dobrosav Andric paid their last respects and gave an eulogy saying that every death leaves a lasting mark and sorrow, but it hurts even more so when those who were in their prime and could have given so much more die.
This is grave loss for Serbia and the town of Uzice. We commiserate with your pain”, as Prime Minister Cvetkovic wrote.
Minister Sutanovac wrote the following words: “It is a sad day
The factory, as Ivica Dacic wrote, will have to live on, however, human lives cannot be brought back. I extend my deepest sympathies to families, and it is our obligation to take care of them and to establish the real causes of the tragedy”.
Yesterday was a mourning day in Serbia on occasion of the blast in arms factory.
