Seven people died while honestly doing their jobs, and they will not be forgotten, as was pointed out at the commemoration, attended by PM MIrko Cvetkovic, Deputy PM< and the Minister of the Police Ivica Dacic and the Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac.

On behalf of the factory and the town of Uzice, mayor Jovan Markovic, CEO of Prvi partisan Dobrosav Andric paid their last respects and gave an eulogy saying that every death leaves a lasting mark and sorrow, but it hurts even more so when those who were in their prime and could have given so much more die.

Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Ministers Dragan Sutanovac and Ivica Dacic signed themselves in the memorial book once again expressing their condolences.

This is grave loss for Serbia and the town of Uzice. We commiserate with your pain”, as Prime Minister Cvetkovic wrote.

Minister Sutanovac wrote the following words: “It is a sad day when we have to send to their eternal resting place mothers’ children, and children’s mothers who died at their work place, where they earned a decent living”.

The factory, as Ivica Dacic wrote, will have to live on, however, human lives cannot be brought back. I extend my deepest sympathies to families, and it is our obligation to take care of them and to establish the real causes of the tragedy”.
