Agreement on export of munitions, military equipment to Iraq signed



The Ambassador of Denmark Mette Kjuel Nielsen presented the Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac at Batajnica airfield with the keys to four cisterns which are used for aircraft refueling. This is a donation made by the Kingdom of Denmark to our air force.

MDanish Ambassador to Serbia Mette Kjuel-Nielsen today handed over the keys of four aeroplane fuel tankers to Minister Sutanovac.
This is a donation made by the Kingdom of Denmark to our air force. In his words in the last few years, some 1 million EUR worth of donations made by Denamrk had been allocated to the defense system of Serbia.


During the ceremony, the minister pointed out that the cooperation with Denmark had proved to be best in the system of defense, and he announced that three aircrafts of Danish air force would take part n the upcoming air show to be held on 13 September in Batajnica.

Ambassador Mette Kjuel Nielsen underlined that the idea of donating these tankers had stemmed from very good cooperation between the two defense ministries, while reminding that it is Serbia which is the most significant factor in the Western Balkans. She said that SAF members had undergone training for operating truck-cisterns, while these training was continued with the arrival of Danish airmen in Serbia. Ambassador Cuel Nielsen presented diplomas to SAF Air Force members who have successfully completed the training on these refuelling tankers.

In his answer to the reporters’ questions regarding he air show, Minister said suggested that the organizers strictly abide by the security measures and for our aircrafts not to do those figures which have not been rehearsed enough. As regards the recent plane crash of MiG 29, he said that the committee tasked with investigation had found that the aircraft had been in perfect order.
