100 million USD worth of exports into Iraq
Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac stated today that a new arms export contract has been signed with Iraq whose total value is USD 100 million.Sutanovac said that this contract stemming from the agreement with the Defense Minister of Iraq and the recent visit of the Iraqi delegation. Minister said that based on this contract some 6000 workers of our defense industry would be employed in the next year, including repairing institutes.
Minister stressed that soon new contracts, which would engage our construction operative, would be employed not only in Iraq but in other countries as well.The Minister of Defense did not wish to precise the types of weapons intended for export while saying that all factories of the defense industry and repair institutions would also be employed. He also underlined that both sides have expressed a mutual wish for the continuation of cooperation.
