Registering in the military records

The call for registering in the military records of persons who are coming of age this year is addressed to young men born in 2002 as well as those borne before the said yaer, who have not yet registered in the military records.

It should be noted that by entering into the military records persons are not immediately called to military service; rather this represents an obligation regulated by the Law on Military, Work and Material Obligation.

Male persons should regulate this legal obligation by reporting to the competent Center of the Ministry of Defense for local self-government. They need to bring an ID or, if the person does not possess it, some other personal identification document.

Registering in the military records can be done every working day between 9am and 3pm. The general call for registering in the military record lasts until 28 February, after which individual calls will be sent to anyone who has not responded.

Young men staying abroad will exercise their right and legal obligation in the competent diplomatic and consular mission of the Republic of Serbia in the country of residence. They need to present a valid travel document.

More detailed information on registering in the military records can be found on the website of the Ministry of Defense (Defense Obligations segment), at the following link: “Uvođenje u vojnu evidenciju” (“Registering in the Military Records”).
