New Year’s reception of the Public Relations Department

On the occasion of the New Year and Christmas holidays, the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence organised a reception tonight for representatives of the media and public relations services of the state bodies at the Military Club in Belgrade, tonight.

Head of the Public Relations Department, Colonel Mihailo Zogović, welcoming everyone present and congratulating them on the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, expressed his gratitude that they continued to follow the activities of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces this year as well.

- Thank you for writing and talking with respect and pride about equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with new weapons that will help protecting and defending you even more securely. When you talk and write about the military, any time when you think of us, think of several thousand soldiers who at all times carry out their duties and fulfilling their tasks keep Serbia safe, the head of the Public Relations Department said.

As he stated, “they say that our man remembers God and the soldier when he is in trouble, and as soon as the trouble passes, he forgets both God and the soldier”.

- In order not to be so, we will continue to fulfil our duties, I hope together with you, informing the citizens of Serbia in the next year as well about what their army is doing, Colonel Zogović said.

He expressed hope and confidence that successful cooperation in the forthcoming year will “receive new certifications but also shifts in meeting the high standards and ethics of the public word”.

Traditional socialising is an opportunity to gather together all those who have reported this year on the activities of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and to remember together, through informal socialising, the moments that marked this year's successful cooperation.
