Gala Opera Concerts “Vissi d’arte”



This evening, the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” performed in the Great Hall of the Endowment of Ilija Kolarac at a concert of classical music Vissi d’arte which had also taken place in the Synagogue in Novi Sad on 12th November.

The programme included the best opera areas and duets of Italian repertoire by Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, Giordano, and the works of Mozart, Beethoven and Korsakov as well.

At both concerts, the audience enjoyed in the performance of Georgian soprano Nina Lazeva, who is also a Director of Music Academy Renata Tebaldi and Mario Del Monaco in Pesaro, Italy, and world renowned tenor from Georgia Zurab Zurabishwili, Opera prima donna of National Theatre in Belgrade Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović, one of the most significant contemporary Serbian sopranos who is at the same time Director of Belgrade Opera, and leader of Opera of the National Theatre in Belgrade, bass- baritone Aleksandar Stamatović, and a young soprano, member of Opera Studio of the National Theatre in Belgrade Marija Jelić.
 
The Ensemble was led by Maestro Emmanuel Plasson, one of the leading French conductors of today, who is a conductor in the Opera Bastille in Paris, New York’s Metropolitan Opera and Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London.

Every number was accompanied by thunderous applause of exhilarated audience and frequent exclamations: “Bravo”! The satisfaction of the audience, just like two evenings before in Novi Sad, was confirmed by rapturous applause which lasted long after the last performed number.

The Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” performed the concerts of classical music Vissi d’arte, in Novi Sad and Belgrade, in cooperation with the Network for Business Development, and under the patronage of the city of Belgrade and Secretariat for Culture.
