Audition for concert ‘Our Children 2019’ held



 
At the atrium of the in the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club, today, an audition of candidates who applied to participate in the concert dubbed ‘Our Children 2019’ was held. It is a traditional event where talented children of professional and retired members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces sing, play or dance accompanied by the ‘Stanislav Binički’ Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence.
All the applicants were heard and watched by a five-member jury of the ‘Stanislav Binički’ Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence: Major Nikola Živković, head of the Orchestra, Major Uroš Kovandžić, Concert-Master, Major Duško Stamenković, clarinettist, Nenad Ninković, trumpet and Božidar Antić, oboe.
The jury will finish their work by 21st November 2019, when the results of the audition will be announced and the the names of the most talented children who will take part in the ‘Our Children 2019’ concert in the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club in Belgrade, in December, will be known. The results of the audition will be published on the Ensemble website www.ansambl.mod.gov.rs and on the Ensemble's Facebook page.
 
In the past years, the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence and the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble have already organised six concerts dubbed ‘Our Children’. They all drew great attention and interest from the audience and the media, and the concert guests were already established musicians who are themselves children of military personnel, like Bajaga, Merima Njegomir, Oliver Njego, Goca Tržan, Željko Samardžić, Ana Stanić, Ana Kokić, Gobović sisters, and many others.
The concert ‘Our Children 2019’ is another opportunity to present to the public the giftedness and artistic work of the children of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, but also to confirm the significant role that the Binički Ensemble plays in promoting young talents.
