Chief of General Staff visits the Hungarian Armed Forces




The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, with a delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces, is paying a two-day visit to Hungary, at the invitation of Chief of General Staff of Hungary, Lieutenant General Ferenc Korom.

General Mojsilović was greeted with the highest military honors by General Korom at the Heroes Square in Budapest, which was followed by a wreath-laying ceremony. Afterwards, official talks between the two delegations took place at the General Staff of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

During the official talks, they discussed the current security situation in the region, the existing cooperation in the field of defense, as well as the possibilities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

During the talks, General Mojsilović emphasized that consistent application of international law and international agreements reached is a priority and an indispensable condition in the efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region. He gave thanks for the professional involvement of the Hungarian KFOR soldiers, as well as constructive support for joint defense activities.

In the continuation of the visit, the Chief of Staff will meet with Hungarian Minister of Defense Tibor Benkő, PhD and attend a demonstration of the capabilities of the Danube Flotilla and Demining units of the Hungarian Armed Forces.
