President Vučić: I am proud of the Serbian Armed Forces

In his address during the ceremony of exchange of signed documents, President of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces,Aleksandar Vučić, addressing the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, said that today we had the opportunity to attend the demonstration of the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- We have shown part of our arsenal, but I am especially grateful to Prime Minister Medvedev for stressing a huge difference between our operational capabilities today compared to a few years ago. Indeed, I am also proud of the Serbian Armed Forces. The difference is literally like heaven and earth, the President said, and continued, addressing the distinguished guest –It is thanksto your support and help, as well as our funding and the economic progress in Serbia, that we were able to progress from zero or one Mig-29 to fourteen of them.

- We also managed to buy 19 new helicopters this year, and we have not bought anyover the last 45 years. I am talking about heavy helicopters. I think this demonstrates how much Serbia is progressing and at what speed, but we would not have been able to achieve this without your support and assistance, and I thank you for that. In doing so, you know that we act responsibly and seriously and never threaten anyone, and that all that we do is to improve our position and make sure that we can preserve our people, our land, our skies and our men– said the Serbian President and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić.
