Minister Vulin meets with Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation




Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, as part of the visit of Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev to our country, met with the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yunus-bek Yevkurov.

On this occasion, the interlocutors stated that commemorating the 75thanniversary of the liberation of Belgrade was an indicator that we were always on the same side of justice and truth.

During the meeting, which confirmed the advancement of defense co-operation, Yunus-bek Yevkurov presented Minister Vulin with the Medal of Liberation of Belgrade, which was awarded to Russian soldiers who took part in the liberation of the Serbian capital in World War IIon behalf of Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu.

Minister Vulin especially thanked Lieutenant General Yevkurovfor his personal contribution to the capture of Slatina Airport in Kosovo and Metohija, following the end of the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
