While carrying out regular duties in the Land Security Zone, on 8 October in the wider area of Lukovska Banja the Serbian Armed Forces Patrol observed several persons illegally cutting the forest and hauling timber across the administrative line to the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija. Acting on the prescribed procedures, the patrol of the Serbian Armed Forces prevented the illegal logging of the forest, and at that moment the persons who were illegally cutting the forest fled across the administrative line, opening fire in the process. No injuries were reported in the said incident.
The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to carry out the tasks of securing the administrative line and controlling the Land Security Zone and preserving peace, security and property of all Serbian citizens.
