Soldier Ulemek buried with state honors



Soldier Milan Ulemek who tragically lost his life during a MiG 29 crash on Tuesday, 7 July, 2009, in Batajnica airfield, was buried today with state honors.

The burial ceremony was attended, besides the family members, by the President of Serbia Boris Tadic, Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, SAF GS Chief LTG MIloje Miletic, the Air Force members and the members of 177th artillery-rocket division, where soldier Ulemek served his military duty, as well as numerous friends and Stara Pazova locals.

Soldier Ulemek died when MiG 20 hit the ground in the park of technical equipment, where he was performing fire fighting duties. He was born on 12 June 1985 in Zemun, he studied the at Faculty of Agriculture, and started his military duty in March this year.

On behalf of 177th division, and Air Force, Lt. Mladen Mitrovic gave the eulogy .
