Minister Vulin: Stable and secure Vučić’s Serbia is a guarantor of peace in the Balkans
“As long as Serbia is led by President Vučić, the Republic of Srpska is and will be a priority of our foreign policy. As long as Serbia is led by President Vučić, the Republic of Srpska will be protected and supported and no Storm, Jadovno and Jasenovac will repeat. The Republic of Srpska does not have its armed forces but the Serbian people have their armed forces and no one should dare think of speaking to the Serbs using force, or think of repeating the pogroms of the Storm, Jadovno, and Jasenovac; no one and never” – stated Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin who together with the Serbian Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended closing ceremony of “54th Kočić’s Gathering“ in “Stričići“.
Minister Vulin underlined that “Serbia will invest here, Serbia will come here, Serbia is here not because it is obliged by Dayton, but because it needs and feels that the Republic of Srpska should be secure, stable and developed. If the Serbs are safe, peaceful and stable wherever they live, the Balkans will be peaceful, secure and stable. Sadly, we are all witnesses of the efforts to create “Greater Albania”, to revive and raise that great evil. But I have to send a message to the entire world that if they remain quiet and blind to that, they have to be aware that they will be responsible for the evil that will ensue from the efforts to establish “Greater Albania”. Everyone must also know that what is allowed to the Albanians cannot be forbidden to the Serbs. You cannot resolve the national issue of the Albanians, without resolving the national issue of the Serbs”.
“Serbia will do all to preserve the peace. A stable and secure Vučić’s Serbia is a Serbia which guarantees peace, and because of which the Balkans is at peace. Serbia will do everything, but we have to know that it takes only one for a war, adversity, and trouble, while it takes at least two for peace, stability, and progress”.
Minister Vulin stated that the “Kočić’s Gathering“ was an opportunity to talk about the matters which had been forbidden for decades before.“When Kočić’s Gathering was restored some fifty years ago, and when the people gathered and spoke, they spoke about Serb national feeling, about our displaced villages, about what made the Serbs in this area worth repeating, worthy of resistance and worthy of fight. That is why “Kočić’s Gathering“ is important. This is not a gathering of people who come here to sing their hearts out, to possibly see each other; this is a gathering of people who come together because of common values. The common values of the Serbian people are the truth, freedom and fatherland. Kočić is great, and we are trying not to allow him being forgotten and we are striving towards reviving this area, towards making it greater, towards it being worthy of the people” the minister of the military stressed.
Minister Vulin extended gratitude to President Dodik for the road that had been built to the Stričići.
“This road has been promised to us even from the time of the Austo-Hungary. Once we got it, it has preserved us. And now, with further investments are made into this area, and you can always count on Serbia when it comes to investing in the Republic of Srpska. We will preserve the people, and this magnificent area of our Manjača, our Zmijanje will again be worthy of returning to, not just of leaving it, and not just of being here once a year for the gathering.
Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik pointed out that Serbia and Republic of Srpska show their cooperation without any hesitation in the best possible manner. He expressed gratitude to President Vučić and his team for rendering significant support to the Republic of Srpska and not only for what can be heard or seen.
“I would like to express gratitude for concrete support to projects all over the Republic of Srpska. Serbia is building at least one facility in the Republic of Srpska and municipalities of the Federation with predominant Serbian population. That is a wish of President Vučić for Serbia to be present in that manner in every local community. It is certain that here in Banjaluka and in some other place we could not resolve many issues without the assistance of Serbia. In last two years, Serbia has granted 32 million euros without obligation of repayment to the Republic of Serbia for various projects all over the Republic of Srpska and we are grateful for that. I say this because no one will stop the national integration of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, whatever they think. The time has passed of sowing fear by high representatives and rigid international western community, which wanted using political correctness to force the Serbs into the story about B&H, and about some unified nation, one language, one script and many other things. Kočić fought against that, and here, almost one hundred years later we ourselves are fighting against it. That shows why this gathering is important” said Member of Presidency of B&H Milorad Dodik at the closing ceremony of “Kočić’s Gathering“ in Stričići.
