Concert 'An Evening with Danka' held on the terrace of the Central Military Club



Tonight, on the terrace of the Central Military Club, a new concert from the cycle dubbed 'A Hundred and Twenty Years With You' was hosted by the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence and a singer Slobodanka Danka Stojiljković.
 
Apart from her, in the programme dubbed 'An Evening with Danka', singers Čedomir Marković, protodeacon Bogdan Stjepanović and Jelena Banjac performed as soloists. There was also Vuk Kandić who performed as a soloist on the accordion, while actor Stefan Jevtović participated in the programme as well. Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence was conducted this evening by Major Igor Mitrović.

Before the beginning of the programme, the audience gathered at the terrace of the Central Military Club was addressed by Danka Stojiljković. At the beginning, she thanked the audience who came, as well as the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence with whom she has been cooperating for over two decades, pointing out that this evening repertoire was a selection of the songs she likes the most.
 
The mentioned artists presented themselves to the audience by interpretation of the well-known domestic and foreign compositions, among which there were the following songs: Odyssey,  'Pukni zoro' (Let the Dawn Break), 'Dobra vam noć, prijatelji' (Good night, friends), 'Zbog tebe mome ubava' (Because of you lovely lady) and many others. 
 
At the end of the programme, thanking the audience and performers, head of the Stanislav Binički Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, Commander Svetozar Vasileski, handed over to Danka Stojiljković a replica of this evening's concert poster, while Sanja Radić, the violinist of Stanislav Binički Ensemble received a military memorial medal for 30 years of artistic work in the Ensemble.
 
The crowd gathered this evening at the terrace of the Central Military Club in a pleasant ambience could enjoy a rich musical programme true to tradition that has been fostered for years by interpreters and instrumentalists who performed together with Danka Stojiljković and Stanislav Binički Ensemble celebrating this year 120th anniversary since it was founded in 1899 by the teacher and founder of the military music in Serbs, Stanislav Binički, originally as the First Belgrade Military Orchestra.
