Telegram of condolence to Acting United States Secretary of Defense
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, sent a telegram of condolences to Acting US Secretary of Defense, Patrick M. Shanahan on the occasion of a car accident in which one cadet of the West Point Military Academy was killed, and several were injured.
The telegram states:
“It is with grief and sorrow that I received the news of a tragic accident in which one of the cadetsof the West Point Military Academy died and more were injured in a car crash in the state of New York. The Serbs know fully well the pain of losing a soldier’s life and sympathize with your pain.
On behalf of all members of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces and me personally, please accept expressions of sincere condolences for the loss of cadet lives.
Please pass sincere condolences to the familyof the cadet who died, and wishes for a quick recoveryto the injured.”
