Minister Vulin: The Third Reich is Defeated, but Nazism is not
- On 9th May, the free world defeated the Third Reich but with unthinkable, terrible victims, however, it did not defeat Nazism. The ideology of Nazism lives even today – stated Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin who, on the occasion of the Day of Victory, as the Envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, laid a wreath with the highest state and military honours at the Monument to unknown hero on Avala.
According to Minister Vulin when you do not know who shot Serbian children in Goraždevac on the river of Bistrica, when no one has ever answered for brutal bombardment of Serbia, its tearing in pieces, and its crucifixion, when no one answered for our slaughtered children, harvesters in Staro Gracko, thousands of killed Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, when no one answered for hundreds of thusands of expelled Serbs in the operation “Storm“ and for thousands of Serbs who were killed after the arrival of the international community in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, nor for the evil done to the Serbian people – then you know that Nazism still lives.
- The Third Reich is dead and defeated owing to enormous sacrifices of the free world, in which the Serbian people was the one who suffered the most and fought the most, but the ideology of Nazism is not defeated. Nazism exist even today, and this generation, and I fear, the generation after us as well, will have to fight it, and they will have to fight against those who are creating Greater Albania, with those who justify the genocide in Jasenovаc, and with all those in whose heads Nazism lives and in whose practice Nazism thrives – Minister Vulin sent the word.
Minister Vulin laid the wreath accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović and Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command Major General Ilija Todorov, and on that occasion Minister Vulin wrote in the memorial book the following:
The Third Reich is defeated, but Nazism is not. May the heroes be glorious, and we will fight to the final victory. Serbia has always been and it will always be on the righteous side of the world. Glory to the victorious ones.”
The Day of Victory is marked by numerous events in Serbia, and celebrations and gatherins at military memorials and places of suffering in many municipalities and towns all over Serbia.
