Third Conference of Defense Chiefs was held in Belgrade. To talk about the security of each country separately, without bearing in mind the risks to the whole region and its security, would be wrong as it would be wrong to think that we can curb organized crime by ourselves within the borders of our respective countries, as Dragan Sutanovac, Defense Minister stressed in his opening address.With the Austrian President Fischer and the Austrian Minister of Defense Darabosch, Minister Sutanovac discussed support to Serbian European integrations and the continuation of investments into Serbia as well as the possibilities for cooperation in defense industry and the reforms of the forces.
In an interview to ODBRANA magazine, Lt. Col. Marcus Widmer, Defense Attaché of Switzerland in Belgrade, stresses that Switzerland takes the security challenges seriously since their status of neutral state means that they have the duty to be responsible to their own country’s security and safety.
During his visit to Skopje, Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac stated that Serbia and Macedonia did not share similar positions regarding the Kosovo issue, yet agree that the security issues should be resolved peacefully.
The system of defense is a pillar of cooperation with numerous countries.
