General Mojsilović Participated at the Meeting of the European Union Military Committee




 
Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović participated today at the meeting of the Military Committee of the European Union in Brussels, at which they discussed the topics in the field of execution of EU operations and missions, with particular look on the established cooperation with the partners – the states which are not the Union members and international organisations.
 
In his address, General Mojsilović presented the contribution of Serbia so far to EU operations and missions and in the HELBROC Battlegroup, the process of preparation and training of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces for the participation in multinational operations, and the most important experiences in this field.
 
On this occasion as well, the organisers and participants of the activity underlined that the Republic of Serbia and its armed forces have a noted place in EU missions and operations, which is reflected in the participation in all three military training missions (EUTM Somalia, EUTM Mali и EUTM RCA) and in the military operation Atalanta, which represents an immeasurable contribution of Serbia in the field of EU common security and defence policy and promotion of our country in the field of security.
 
Apart from meeting the participants of the meeting, General Mojsilović, met at bilateral basis Chief of National Defence General Staff of the Hellenic Republic Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis and Chief of Defence General Staff of the Italian Republic General Claudio Graziano, future Chairman of the EU Military Committee, with whom he talked on the current and future cooperation in the field of EU Common Security and Defence Policy.
